January 9, 2000… Miami, Florida… Gulfstream Park… Ambrosia, LIVE! The first Ambrosia gig of the year… of the decade… of the mill… well, you get the idea.

About 600 people gathered in the warm southern air to see and hear Ambrosia. Many carried lawn chairs and many brought blankets to sit out on the grass before the stage.

A videographer projected the show on a large screen to the side of the stage so all could see close-ups of the band members in action.

This was the first time I saw Ambrosia outdoors, and they certainly felt at home in the warm sunshine. They played a nice mix of all of the classics including Nice, Nice, Very Nice, You’re the Only Woman, Biggest Part of Me and How Much I Feel. Mid way through the show, I called for my favorite new song, Hopes and Dreams. Joe looked down squinting past the sunshine and said, "There must be a psychic in the crowd!" Definitely a classic-to-be.

All members of the band were in well form enjoying performing as much as the fans enjoyed the show. After the performance, as usual, the band spent time with their fans talking and autographing.
